The problem is...does the length of the string, weight on the end of the string, or the angle of the drop effect a pendulums range in 15 seconds? The length of the string was the only variable that did affect the range of swings. The larger the size of the string the less number of cycles it did so then the shorter the length of the string the more cycle it did. The other variables had no affected on the pendulums what so ever. The string that was 100 cm. only went 7 times, but the string that was 10 cm. went 17 times. The reason that the 100 cm. strings only went 7 times is because it took the washer longer to descend then ascend. I observed that if you pushed the washer ever so slightly it would go off track then hit the board. I fell if we hadn't done the test three times if would have been less accurate. I think that if Christian had not have been correcting me the tests would have been wrong. I believe that the test was more accurate because we did it 3 times. I think that the 100 cm. string too so long to go up then down is because it has a longer distance to cover. I thought that the weights would have a tremendous affect on how many cycles the washer did. I thought that the angle of the drop would have affected how many cycles the washer did too.
